Longtom Foods is the inspiration of Glenn Scharrer, who first enjoyed an authentic American Hot Dog on the streets of New York in 2001. He liked not only the taste of the hot dog, but also the friendly look and feel of the New York-style Food Trailers. They are smart, attractive, efficient and easy to manage. As an advertising and marketing man and director of well-known Scharrer Advertising, Glenn has been involved in the launch of many successful brands.

He did his research into what the South African public want in fast food, designed his first Food Trailer, experimented with various recipes, everybody said "Fantastic", and he set up shop on the corner of 11th Street and Marie Road, Parkmore, Sandton. The rest as they say is history..
